Mile 388

Hey, I am in Roan Mountain, Tennessee at the Mountain Harbor Bed and Breakfast / Hostel. I stopped here because I was out of lunch and snack food. So I got a shuttle to the Dollar General and stocked up on way too much junk food. So I’m good with that. And I also ate at the barbecue restaurant so that was pretty nice.

Let’s see, past few days have been pretty rainy. I stayed at the highest shelter on the AT elevation-wise. That was pretty cold, windy, foggy on Roan Mountain. But today, the weather was perfect. The sun was shining down as I crossed over the Roan Mountain highlands it’s like a series of balds. So it’s nice, grassy, wide open. You see all around you, it’s great. And I’ve also been going east, due east on the trail and maybe even a little south. So how I estimate my mileage on the website, onahike.com, is pretty far off so I may have to change how I do that. Right now I’m at like 300… almost 390 miles.

Uh, let’s see. So yeah, I think I’ll hit another hostel tomorrow night. I could probably hit a hostel every night of this week if I really wanted to. But that would get a little expensive. Not that I made a budget or anything. Maybe I should have. All right, so that’s it. Peace.

Good to hear your voice! Everyone is LOVING your journey. Love ya!
