Mile 104
Hey, it’s Daniel. Just left Rock Gap. Got a shuttle into Franklin, North Carolina. Yep, I’m in North Carolina now. Just passed 100 miles today. And feeling good. The weather’s been pretty nasty the last couple days or so. Today it was hailing probably about eight different times. It’d be sunny and then it would hail and then it’d be sunny and then it would hail. So that was interesting. Kept having to take on and off my poncho.
We decided to stay tonight because it’s supposed to get below freezing, I think. So I originally was going to stay in Franklin tomorrow, so found a shuttle to take me in today. And tomorrow I’ll probably get back on the trail, even though the group I’m with is probably going to stay here another night. I don’t really need to go into town for anything, I don’t think. So I’ll be moving on.
So I think I get to watch Lost tonight. Yeah. You know you’ve left civilization when you mention Lost around a campfire and no one knows what you’re talking about. So I’m about to go eat. Peace.
